The employer must provide the medicines and materials needed for first aid and train the personnel who administer it. Every company must set up one or more Joint Hygiene and Safety Committees, whose number of representatives depends on size, risks and headcount. No fixed numeric first-aider ratio.

Law 16998 requires informing and training workers on risks without prescribing a format; the hands-on first-aid component stays in person. Grey zone: accepted.
